Yuriko J. Design is the creative work of Kaua‘i-based artist Yuriko Justus (Kihara), originally from Japan. A self-taught digital illustrator and the creator of “Mochi-Celeste™,” Yuriko’s lifelong love for drawing was rekindled after moving to Hawai‘i, where the natural beauty of the islands inspires much of her work. With a background in international business and years spent living in the UK, she brings a unique global perspective to her locally rooted art.
Her designs often feature whimsical animals, plants, and everyday moments, all drawn with warmth and charm. What began as a small project for her husband’s bookshop has grown into a thriving art brand, with Yuriko now collaborating with many local businesses across Hawai‘i. Each piece she creates brings a touch of joy and creativity to the everyday.
