Our Beginning
Founded in 2020 by Gina Ho, Me Ke Aloha was born during a time of reflection and change. As Hawai‘i’s tourism industry paused, Gina saw an opportunity to support the makers and small businesses at the heart of the islands. Frustrated by the prevalence of mass-produced “Hawai‘i-inspired” gifts found outside the state, she set out to create a company that would showcase the real Hawai‘i—its people, its values, and its artistry.
What started with inspiration from farmers' markets has grown into a platform that celebrates and shares the true spirit of aloha. “Me Ke Aloha” means “with love,” and it’s at the heart of everything we do—from how we curate to how we care for our community.
Purposefully Packaged
Every Me Ke Aloha gift set is packaged with intention and care. We use eco-conscious materials like FSC-certified, acid-free tissue paper and soy-based inks, and we partner with vendors who prioritize sustainability and conservation. From the products we select to the packaging that carries them, every detail reflects our commitment to people and planet.
FSC Certified
Our tissue paper is manufactured from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits. Manufactured with fewer corrosive chemicals, our tissue paper is designed with the environment in mind.
Soy Based Inks
Renewable and biodegradable, soy inks are also much less likely to deteriorate over time.
Reusable Packaging
Our keepsake boxes are thoughtfully designed to be reused, extending their life well beyond the initial unboxing. Crafted with durability and intention, they offer a sustainable alternative to single-use packaging—made to be repurposed, cherished, and enjoyed again.
