MONA is a Hawaiian-owned luxury candle collection founded by Sherrisa Keolanui, a dedicated mother and full-time student. Driven by her commitment to creating a cleaner environment for her son, Sherrisa chose to produce her candles locally, prioritizing community impact over profit. Each 12-ounce candle features three signature scents: Farmers Market, Grounding, and Sunrise, crafted from high-quality ingredients, including beeswax sourced from a sustainable farm in Puna. A portion of the proceeds from every sale is donated to various Hawaiian organizations, reflecting Sherrisa's belief in giving back to the community that inspires her.
Based in Kamuela on Hawaii Island, MONA draws its name from the word "momona," meaning fruitful or rich in soil, symbolizing the brand's dedication to sustainability and cultural roots.
